our home remodeling process

the glitz construction home remodeling process

client intake

The first step in our home remodeling process is client intake. We take down the customer’s contact information (name, address, phone, email) and project details. We set an appointment to meet and see the project in person.

initial consultation

During the initial consultation, we review the architectural plans with the customer. This is to ensure that we have a thorough understanding of the scope of work and any desired changes the homeowners would like to make to their plans before starting construction. We can also give the customer an idea of how long the project will take to complete and project logistics, such as moving out of their homes if required. We also let the customer know of our availability to take on a new project.

proposal

After the initial consultation, the third step in our home remodeling process is a written proposal. We believe we must take the time to craft a detailed proposal for your project. All our proposals are itemized, which customers love because they can add or subtract work from their projects to fit their budgets. We include procuring finished materials in the proposal so customers don’t have to do all their shopping and decision-making if their schedules make it difficult to do so. We give our customers item allowances so they have a general idea of how much it will take to complete the entire project with everything included.

acceptance

After sending the proposal, we answer any questions or concerns the customer may have. If they choose to accept the proposal, our contract terms, and payment schedule, we take an initial deposit to get them on the schedule and begin working on the project. We review our customer portal (JobTread) with them where they will communicate with us for the project's duration.

construction

This is the exciting part of the remodeling process, it is when the work begins. During this time, we speak with the homeowners daily and give them updates on the progress of their project. Homeowners can make changes to their project plans via change orders if needed. Major construction items include demolition, concrete work, framing, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.

project completion

When the major construction is complete, we will take the final payment and complete a walkthrough with the client. During this stage of the home remodeling process, we are working on the finishing touches. We will review our project punch list and finish any outstanding finishing tasks before finally turning over the home to the client. Punch list items at this stage comprise of items such as paint touch-ups and hardware installation quality control.

post-construction

All projects have a one-year warranty after completion. Homeowners can call us to fix any issues covered under the warranty post-construction.
